Standard bitumen tanks are horizontal and cylindrical type with heating coils and insulation cover heated by hot oil circulation. The asphalt in this cylindrical tank of indirect heating type is heated by hot oil circulation, which causes the asphalt, due to the absence of partial direct heating, to be heated uniformly and thoroughly and keep the constant temperature at all times. Have a capacity of 30,000 liters or 50,000 liters for easy transportation.
Stationary up-right tank versions are also available and can meet every specific needs of capacity, safety filing and customized supply system to ensure flexible operation.
Kettle is usually employed in comparatively small-scale asphalt plant for melting and storing asphalt under direct heating system. In kettle, U-shaped tube into which combustion gas from burner is fed for heating asphalt. The kettle shortens melting time and is relatively effective for melting asphalt.
